The Winton Rumble
The weekend of March 22-23 saw the 2025 edition of Winton Rumble take place at the ‘Nation’s Action Track,’ Winton Motor Raceway in country Victoria.
It was a very popular event, 27 cars were entered in the enduro, totalling 114 drivers spread across all the cars.
In total across the two-day race meeting, the 27 cars entered completed over 50,000 kilometres. The winners completed 1,988 kilometres, 505 laps in total.
The winning crew, the Chop Shop Racing team driving a BMW 328i recorded a victory of four laps at the end of the event.
Team Buccaneers were second in their Subaru Impreza Wagon, a further six laps ahead of the third placed crew.
The Fully Sick Racing team with a Honda Integra completed 495 laps and set the fastest lap of the race, a 1m 38.63.
BMW 120d squad Beemer Boys came home in fourth, just one lap behind the Honda Integra and an outright podium finish. However, there performance did see them secure the ME2 class win.
Another BMW crew, the Altorque Racing Team driving a BMW 130 came home fifth, the third BMW team in the top five.
A Peugeot 207 ended up in sixth ahead of ME3 class victors, the HyUndies Racing Team in their Hyundai Excel.
As you can tell by the team names the event is not a serious affair, it is a great family friendly event with a hell of a lot of track time. In the end, an impressive 16 of the 27 cars finished the race.
