The Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships return to Winton Motor Raceway at Benalla on the Father’s Day weekend (3-4 September), after an absence of over 10 years, with the meeting being Round 4 of the 2016 Championship Series.

This race meeting marks the series’ return to Winton, with the promoter being the Victorian State Race Series Inc. which has been the manager of the series State Championship for more than 20 years in its current form.

The series brings to Northern Victoria all the usual entertaining state categories usually seen at Phillip Island and Sandown and on this occasion includes Improved Production Cars, Formula Ford (Duratec and Kent classes), Formula Vee, MGs, Sports Sedans, Sports Cars, Porsche 944, Saloon Cars, Historic Touring Cars and the ever growing Circuit Excels.

In all this weekend will see more than 180 cars racing, with a capacity grid of 36 Improved Production Cars headlining the meeting.

The action is from 9.00am until 5.00pm daily, with 30 races on the program assuring the crown of non-stop entertainment over the 2 days.

This meeting is the penultimate in the Victorian Series for 2016 with the final round to be conducted at Phillip Island on 29-30 October.

Admission for adults is $30 for the weekend, with kids under 16 free.

Entry to the paddock and garage areas is free, allowing fans to get up close and personal with drivers and the fantastic variety of racing machinery.
